Obverse: III1-2. Same as III1 1, but with heavy die polishing at top. Wheat leaf below R is short and contains lines. Wheat grains are well separated, with long wheat leaf between the stalks. Wheat leaf below the B is heavily polished. Bottom serifs are thin in motto. Bottom of E and R run together in LIBERTY. Liberty's eyelash is slightly extended. Although not mentioned, this specimen appears to have slight doubling and tripling on the majority of the stars. |
Reverse: C1b. Minor doubling at the bottom of the eagle's left and right wings. Several large die cracks around the perimeter, but no displacement. No die chip on D in UNITED. Die marker – Some horizontal die polishing lines at bottom of eagle’s right wing. |
