1899-O VAM-48 AW081023 NEW DISCOVERY

Obverse: III2-32
  • Date is set at the Near position. Die chip on the right side upper loop of the first 8.
  • Die Markers - Polishing on cap ribbon and letters of LIBERTY. Small chips in front of Liberty's eye.
  • Fine polish lines in the lower hair, LIBERTY banner and around cotton bolls.
  • "Dot" in the hair below the bottom center of the hat edge.
  • Doubling on the bottom/bottom right of the earlobe.
Reverse: C3r.
  • Mintmark centered, slightly high with a slight right tilt. May be a repunch.
  • Die Markers - Polishing lines in wing-neck gap, upper tail feathers, wreath bow
  • Unique polish lines on both wings when lit properly.
