| Comments: No significant die doubling, breaks or gouges. SD member expertise attributes the condition of the reverse die as collapsed. Spear-like anomaly at the eagle's right shoulder appears to be a cut of some kind. The cut is very straight with a uniform depth. It may have been made with a chisel-like or engraving tool. Probably not die damage, most likely post mint damage. |
